The world of Terry Rodgers
A world of glitter and glamour, sex and drugs that’s what you see when you look at the works of the American painter Terry Rodgers. He paints a vision of the private nightlife of America’s privileged youth.
Terry has a specific work method. He photographs models in his house and on the streets, models that are of a certain interest to him. Rodgers is a master of composition. He selects and combines the photos he likes, to create the perfect scene. His strange parties are put together like a painting by Rubens.

Terry paints in the traditional way. Starting with a white canvas, where he draws the figures on, covers them with acrylic paint and finally creates the end result by using oil paint.
When you look at the painting you feel at the same time, a voyeur and a guest at the party. Terry paints large, intricately designed works on canvas filled with beautiful people in extraordinary settings. And he can draw like few other artists with any vision these days.
